669.I'll bring him down, a king with no crown
//Judas by Lady Gaga

Well, I think I love this set. I am OBSESSED with Daphne Groeneveld's face, it is so beautifully odd, and her head wrap and shirt and shorts OH I want them. And this song. I adore Judas, it sounds so 80's and makes me want to dance. Ay ay ay. So anyways, how are all of you? I had a particularly good day today laughing at all of the people that came to school high. It was quite entertaining. OI and you see that book up there? City of Fallen Angels, the fourth book in the Mortal Instruments series. I am currently reading it. SO GOOD.

668.If you’d ask me for my heart, there’s no way that I’ll say no
//Oh Darling by Plug In Stereo (this is such an adorable song. I suggest you listen to it.)

Oh wow, a non-roleplay set! I feel like I haven't made one of these in forever. Perhaps it's time for an update?

-Well, probably the most important and best thing that has happened in my life the past few months is that I have found a group of girls that have become my best friends. I have so much in common with them, but there are still so many things that are different about us. We are our own people, yet we are the same. I don't feel as lonely anymore knowing that I have people to spend my weekends with and that I could call anytime just to talk.

-I had my first macaroon. It was raspberry hibiscus and absolutely delicious.

-I am obsessed with the new episodes of Vampire Diaries.

-I bought the most stunning shoes ever. They are black leather heels with a 4 inch wedge, 1 inch platform, peep toes, and straps and buckles that go across the front. UGH they are to die for.

-I really like this guy for reasons completely different than anyone I have liked before. He is only sort of cute, but he is so kind and sweet and caring and hilariously funny and in English class he says the most insightful and eloquent things and he likes to READ and oh he is just so adorable.

-There's this sophomore girl in my Spanish class that I totally have a girl crush on. She is so perfect. Think young Candice Swanepoel. She's considered 'popular' I guess, but she's smart and she wears fabulous clothes and she does drama. unf.

-I watched Never Let Me Go with my friend this weekend. I thought OH LORD Andrew Garfield, Keira Knightly, and Carey Mulligan all in one movie? This is going to be amazing. Well, it was a cool concept, but incredibly depressing to thoroughly enjoy. I wanted to like it so badly, but I just couldn't.

-I'M JUST A HOLY FOOL OH BABY HE'S SO CRUEL BUT I'M STILL IN LOVE WITH JUDAS BABYYYY

-Summer is so close, yet so far away. May 27th, baby.

-I want to lose fifteen pounds so badly, but it feels impossible.

667.Sorry, roleplays :(
GAH I hate saying this. You probably already know what I am about so say, so I'll just get it over with. I am taking a break from my groups. *CREYS* I am not quitting, I promise, just taking a break until the school year is over. I only have a month until exams, and my courses have been assigning loads of work. I am stressed beyond belief. I will be making a fashion set once or twice a week I hope, so I will not be completely gone.

SSL- Oh SSL! I have been horrible to you. I would love it, Joyce, if you could keep Aurelie for me until I return and I can have her enter then until about a week ago when she was supposed to.

COL- City of Lights, you are my baby. I am still modding, and Rowan will still be part of the Institute, she is just going to come back in about a month.

LOVE YOU ALL

Monday
O4.O4.11
After we traveled around the world and stayed in other Institutes, the adults agreed to house the Italian Shadowhunters for a week. They will be divided up and bunking with us because of the shortage of extra rooms. Hope you get a good room buddy!

I walked into my room and flopped down on my bed. Our travels had left me exhausted, and I was pretty sure that I still had jet lag. Time differences are a beast. It was not until I peeled open my eyes a few minutes later that I saw a fifth bed squeezed into the corner of the room.

"What's that?" I asked Liam, gesturing towards the bed with my thumb.

He shrugged. "I think we're having some visitors from one of the foreign Institutes for a few days.

I nodded and rested my head back on the pillow. Visitors didn't seem so bad; most of the ones I had met abroad were fairly nice. There were only a select group that I did not fancy as much.

All of the sudden, the door burst open. Shiloh rushed in without bothering to close it. "Did you hear, did you hear?" she shrieked nervously. "We're having guests!"

I lifted my head up. "Liam told me," I said, not bothering to hide the sleepiness in my voice.

Shiloh paced around the room. She was situating things around, putting them back into place. "it could be anyone! Anyone at all! What if we don't like them?"

"It'll be fine," I muttered before tuning out her conversation with Liam.

A minute later, their chatter took a quick halt. I rolled over at the absence of noise, and I was about to ask what was going on when I saw a figure in the doorway. She had long, flowing hair, and five suitcases at her feet.

"Hi, Americans," she said with a sickeningly sweet smile.

Ahhh! COL has had so much less activity than normal! I know I haven't made a set for a few days, but let's try and get more sets in :)

Thursday
O3.31.11
Tonight is the Shadowhunter ball! It is being held on one of Thailand’s many beautiful beaches with a giant bonfire, delicious buffet of surf and turf, and festive decorations to go along.
[required]

I am too lazy and too tired to write a story so I'll just give a little sum up of what happened. Aaron and Rowan were all mushy and lovey because Aaron said he loved Rowan back, they danced under the twinkly lights, and then went skinny dipping and had sex in the water. Good enough?
664.Lord knows that I'm not you, and if I was I wouldn't be so cruel {SSL}

A jock who loves the beach, loves to party, loves getting wasted, and loves the free life. He's a very independent guy, usually a leader in most things. He likes to lead a lot of activities like hosting a party, a simple movie event, getting together with friends, a dinner party, a beach day, even taking a role when in training. He's a very comfortable guy and very friendly, which is why he gets along with everyone. Even though he gets on some people's nerves for always taking the reigns, they can't deny he's an actual good leader and an overall nice guy. Being as independent as he is, he's not really looking to settle down, but who knows? Maybe that could change if the right girl comes along.
Desium: Liquid Manipulation
Level: 35
Model: River Viiperi
Taken: sincerely, sara™ (Arliene du Vale)

• What's the hardest decision you ever had to make?
You sure like to start with a hard question, huh? Well, the hardest decision for me had to be to keep an innocent person alive or kill them. Get in with bad people, and that is the type of decision you have to make on a regular basis.

• What does it feel like to have a desium like yours?
Liquid manipulation is an awesome desium, I've never had any troubles with it like other people. It's been mostly for tricks and practices, though, and I think it'd be cool to actually have to use it sometime.

• Are you content with how things are going in your life?
I am beyond content. I drink, party, and chill. There's nothing better than that. I don't even have to work. Instead, I choose to get what I can for free and find a way to get the rest.

• What's your family like?
Family is, well, just family. I have seven younger brothers, a lovely mother, and a father that works his ass off in an office everyday to provide. I check in every few weeks to make sure everybody is still sane and grab some provisions. I don't think my dad likes me much anymore, though. As his oldest son, he expected me to be something great like a doctor or a lawyer, not someone that practically lives at the beach and parties.

• Any dirty secrets? Or perhaps accomplishments you're proud of?
Dirtiest secret? Three women in a night. As for the other kind of dirty secrets, I don't have many. The worst in my mind, though, is that in high school I got tied up with the wrong people. Spanish mafia. If you ever have to get tied up with people, put the Spanish mafia at the bottom of the list. I did some things that I am not at all proud of now, but I consider myself a different person than I was back then.

• Lastly, what are you like? Who are you?
Best word to describe me: chill. I go with the flow, do everything to my liking, and have a good time doing it. I can meet someone, and five minutes later I'm throwing a party with them. I'm pretty sure that I'm approachable and fun to be around, but I've never asked anyone before. I'll just say that I am.

Sunday
O3.27.11
The trek back to town will take up the morning, leaving your afternoon wide open. However, we have special plans for tonight; we’re heading to the opera! Ladies get out your gowns, and gentlemen find your tuxes. This is a formal attire event.

{collab with kirsten!}

Shiloh, Liam, Aaron and I stood in the entrance of the Opera, waiting to be ushered inside. The boys looked dapper in their tuxes, and even though I hated to admit it, I liked wearing my gown. I felt like a princess and Aaron my prince with his hand on my waist keeping us close.

"Are you Shiloh Kidman?" A British accent said from behind us.

We turned around to see a fair haired, fair skinned, broad shouldered man. He was intimidating, and it was almost disturbing that he knew Shiloh's full name and recognized her. "Honey, I found her!" he shouted to a woman. As she approached us, I saw that she was blonde, like the man, and they were both dressed in all black. How odd.

The man stepped towards Shiloh. "Do you know who I am, sweetie?"

Liam snarled and pulled Shiloh closer to his side. "You look like a pedophile."

A giggle managed to escape my lips, because in all truth, he really did. I quickly covered my hand with my mouth, but not before the man gave me a glare.

When the woman smiled, it was a creepy smile. "We're your parents," she said, the grin encompassing her whole face until it looked like she was going to break. Shiloh did nothing but bury herself into Liam's shoulder. She muttered something I couldn't comprehend, and before I knew it, we were fleeing the scene in the opposite direction. I couldn't imagine what might have been going through Shiloh's mind. The whole thing was insane.

We followed the rest of the Institute into the theater to be seated. Liam and Aaron were on the end of the row, and Shiloh and I sat directly in from them. As soon as we were seated, the lights dimmed and the curtains were drawn open. The beginning scene was in a garden with a single woman sitting on a stone bench. She was absolutely stunning. If her face was that beautiful, I couldn't wait to hear her voice.

When the woman opened her mouth to sing, I was stunned. She was singing in Italian! I was expecting it to be in English, but as I thought about it, I realized that almost all classic operas were in Italian or French. How stupid of me. I leaned over to where Liam was sitting. "What is she singing about?"

"Her husband is going to war," he replied in a bored tone.

The woman, named Arietta, went on to sing another lovely song in her garden. I had no clue what it was about, but I adored every second. Before I knew it, the lights were coming back on and there was an announcement that it was intermission for fifteen minutes. Aaron and Liam looked relieved. They told us that they were taking their break outside, and they would return in a minute. I reached up and gave Aaron a light kiss before he walked out of the theater.

An opera singer reappeared on the stage fifteen minutes later, and both boys were not in their seats. Shiloh and I brushed it off because they weren’t having much fun with the show before intermission. The opera ended a half hour or so later, and we were now becoming a bit worried. Where were Liam and Aaron?

Shiloh and I walked out of the opera house. We expected Liam and Aaron to be hiding out, or at least pop out and scare us to try and get a laugh. Instead, we got something completely different.
Aaron and Liam were at the end of the alley, sitting down, slumped over. They seemed to be unconscious. Shiloh and I pulled up our dresses and ran toward them.

We immediately checked for injuries. Liam had a gaping wound on his chest, which dripped scarlet red upon his white dress shirt. Aaron’s arm twisted at an unnatural angle and his nose was dripping blood. The most disturbing wound was on his abdomen, where blood was seeping through his jacket at a rapid pace. "Who would have done this?" I wondered aloud in horror.

Shiloh grimaced. "I think I have an idea."

I was about to ask who she had in mind when I heard a quiet, yet sudden, noise from behind us. As I turned around to see what it was, Shiloh whipped around. A gasp escaped my lips at the sight before us. The man and woman in black, the ones that had earlier claimed to be Shiloh's parents, were propelling down the side of the Opera house.

They took no pleasure in explaining why they were there, what they were doing. A silver flash of a seraph blade flashed in the night. It imbedded itself in the hem of my dress, pinning it to the ground. I tore my gown so I could attack.

Between the last time I was attacked and my most recent conversation with Neveah, I realized that it would be smart to carry a weapon with me. I pulled a dagger and a seraph blade from a holster on my thigh. Because I had not been going to training as frequently as I should, I had almost no technical skills. I just let instinct and adrenaline take over.

My first throw of the seraph blade hit the woman. It sliced deep into her arm, but the injury was not fatal. I whispered the name of the blade, Tizare, and it flew back to me. Shiloh did better with the man, embedding her dagger in his abdomen. It looked painful as he pulled it out of his skin.

Suddenly, the woman charged. She was flailing wildly with a dagger in her hand. Shiloh and I stepped back, but she got a few stabs in. Two on Shiloh's arm, one on my leg, and another on my arm. It hurt worse than anything and was bleeding like crazy, but I continued to defend myself with my own dagger.

The woman, who had worse injuries, looked at the man with fear in her eyes. He wrapped his arm around her and dragged her back around the corner where they came from, but not before giving us a death glare. Who were they really? And more importantly, why had they attacked us?

Shiloh and I turned our attention back to the semi-conscious Aaron and Liam now that the immediate danger was gone. We wrapped strips of cloth from our gowns around their wounds that bled the most profusely, and then worked on wrapping our own gashes.

I put a glamour on us before we walked down the street so we wouldn't get any unnecessary attention. Slowly and painfully, we dragged the boys back to the hotel. When we entered the foyer, both Clary and Jace were there immediately to help us and bomb us with a flurry of questions.

I did not have any time to answer them before I slipped out of consciousness and on to the floor.

662.Just hold on to me, I'll hold on to you {COL}
Saturday
O3.26.11
Good morning Sydney! The weather in Australia is lovely, and that is where we will be landing midday. The mentors are taking us on a private hike through the outback. Spot some kangaroos, look for Nemo, or just savor the wilderness. Once we reach the plateau, tents and campfires will be set up. The mentors’ tents won’t be very close, and you can pick your tent buddy.
[required]

I stepped up on the plateau and wiped a bead of sweat trailing down my neck. We were in the Australian outback, and the air was thick with humidity. The hike took us a few hours. I my muscles ached, but the beautiful scenery made me feel alive.

"You can rest here!" Clary called out to the group. "We're stopping for the night, so get your buddy and pitch a tent."

I made my way over to where Aaron was talking to Liam. "Want to pitch our tent?" I asked him.

Aaron nodded to me, punching Liam jokingly on the arm. "See ya, bro." Liam chuckled and walked to where Shiloh was so they could put up their tent too.

I opened up the backpack-styled bag that the tent came in and began reading the complex directions. It said to connect two pieces, but in the jumble, I couldn't find either of them. Without even taking a glance at the pamphlet, Aaron picked up the pieces and began to assemble them. The tent was finished within five minutes.

"How did you know how to do that?" I asked, extremely puzzled.

Aaron laughed it off. "I used to go camping a lot with my friends," he siad pleasantly.

I could imagine him camping and being outdoorsy. It wasn't hard to believe, considering that he was a werewolf and all.

I glanced over at Shiloh and Liam to see that they were not having the best of luck with putting up their tent. Liam looked frustrated, trying to jam the pieces together, but determined to make them work. "Do you think we should help them?" I asked and pointed in their direction.

A broad grin broke out on Aaron's face. "Leave them to figure it out on their own. It'll give Liam's ego a boost if he can do it himself."

I laughed and grabbed Aaron's hand, pulling him close. "Want to try out the tent? We can see how it fits for tonight." I whispered.

Aaron's eyebrows shot up. He was about to give a response, but Quinne walked right in between us, moving us apart. "Be safe, kiddos," she said with a chuckle. Quinne had Andrew's hand in hers.

Fallyn was trailing not far behind; Jarod had his arm slung around her shoulders. "Yeah, don't do something stupid. Just come over to our tents if you need anything."

They walked off, laughing, as I felt my face reddening. I ducked my head into Aaron's shoulder, but not before I made eye contact with Neveah across the plateau. Not only did she not approve of my training and aversion to fights, but I felt like she somehow disapproved of my relationship with Aaron. How hypocritical of her.

Aaron nuzzled his face into my neck, bringing me back to reality. "Still want to tryout the tent?" he suggested.

I got over my embarrassment quickly and zipped open the tent, pulling Aaron in after me. We collapsed on to the plush sleeping bags in a flurry of kisses and shedding clothes. It was hot out, but I needed the heat of our touching skin.

I pulled back for a moment just to admire Aaron. I did this sometimes because I felt too lucky; any guy as attractive and sweet as he was back home would have never had given me a second glance. Aaron was different. He was compassionate, and positive, and tender, and protective, all wrapped up into one. The slanting late afternoon sunlight made his dark brown eyes sparkle as I pushed back and errant curl. I suddenly realized how I could put everything I was feeling into words, and I was surprised beyond belief. I never planned for them to come out.

"Aaron, I love you."

661.Come on, we're in Paris, the city of love! {COL}
Friday
O3.25.11
This morning we arrive in Paris, the city of love. Ride your bicycles by the Eiffel Tower, take a stroll down the Champs Elysees, or have lunch in a cozy Parisian bistro. No matter what you do, love will be an inevitable thought on your mind.

I woke up slowly and lazily, finding myself in the comfortable safety of Aaron's arms. My movement woke him up as well. He rolled over, squishing me completely. I laughed and pushed him off. "Get offa' me, you dog!" I said with a giggle.

Aaron chuckled sleepily and got up. He motioned toward Shiloh and Liam's beds. Only one had been slept in, but both were empty. "Were'd they go?"

I shrugged, looking around to see if they had left a note. There was a hastily written post-it note that said they had gone with Quinne and Andrew for a picnic and would be out most of the day. "They're on a picnic and they'll be out all day," I said with a raised eyebrow which I hoped indicated what I wanted to do.

Aaron got the message. He bit his lip, a common motion of his that made me weak in the knees. "What do you want to do?"

I jumped up into his arms, which startled him at first, but he caught me steadily. I slinked my arms up to wrap around Aaron's neck and pulled him close. He smelled like leather and cinnamon gum, my favorite smells. They were his smells. I kissed him fiercely, but broke off quickly when an idea popped into my head. I jumped out of Aaron's arms. "I'm gonna run an errand," I said, slipping on my sandals and tying my hair up in a bouncy pony.

Aaron looked devastated, like he was a little kid and I took away his favorite toy. "Do you have to leave NOW?"

I reached up on my tip toes and gave him a quick peck. "I'll be back soon, I promise. It'll be worth it."

I walked out of the Institute and down the street where I had seen a fancy lingerie store on the way into town last night. I wanted something that would surprise Aaron; something he would like.

As I went into the store, my eyes took in all of the lace, satin, and sheer material. I suddenly realized that I had no clue what to get.

A curvy woman with fiery red hair came up to me and said something in French. I just bit my lip, because I had no clue what she was saying. The woman laughed it off and spoke again, this time in English. "Do you need help finding something?"

I hated to admit it, but I did. The woman, who I learned was named Lesia, pulled a few items from the shelf. She led me to a dressing room behind a silken screen to try them on.

Surprisingly, they all fit perfectly, and they were exactly what I wanted. Lacy and feminine, but not so small that they were revolting. I decided on a light pink set with soft satin accents.

With all of my purchases folded up in a little bag, I strolled back to the French Institute and skipped up the stairs. I ran into our room with a giggle to find Aaron lounging on the bed with his arms behind his head. He sprung up with his arms outstreched, but I ran to the bathroom and shut the door. "Ro, you okay?" He said in a concerned tone.

I giggled again, feeling beyond giddy. "I'm fine, just wait for a sec!" I shouted back.

I peeled off my sundress and slipped into the pink, lacy set. I turned and looked at myself in the mirror. I fluffed my hair up a bit. After taking a deep breath, I stepped out of the bathroom.

Aaron started to say something, but he was quickly distracted. His eyes bugged out a bit and his mouth popped open. I did a little turn, and the reaction intensified.

"Like it?" I asked hesitantly.

A broad smile encompassed his face. "Love it."

Thursday
O3.24.11
Today you can sleep in because our flight is not until two. However, there will be a brunch at the famous café across the street from our hostel at 11. If you want amazing food all paid for by the mentors, you can get up by then.

Aaron and I walked hand in hand across the street to the quaint little cafe where breakfast was being prepared. It was the mentor's treat, so it would have been rude not to go. We walked inside the bustling restaurant and sat down at a table with the rest of the members of the Institute.

"Morning, Rowan!" Clary said cheerily when I sat down.

I rested my elbows on the table. "Good morning. How are you?"

She smiled a motherly smile, which was an expression that was frequently upon her face. "I'm great, Rowan. Do you want me to order you something to eat? You must be hungry."

After a morning of sight seeing with Aaron, I noticed my grumbling stomach for the first time. Clary did too. "Um, yeah, that would be good." I tried looking at a menu on the wall, but it was all in Russian. "Do they have... pancakes?" I asked cautiously.

Clary yelled back into a kitchen in Russian. A moment later, she turned back. "They'll be done in a minute," she said with another smile and a pat on the back.

Suddenly, my chair was bumped forward. I glanced back to see if a waiter had already brought my food, but instead my gaze met the ice blue eyes of Neveah. She had her arms crossed over her chest. "Didn't see you at training yesterday, Rowan. Just like every training. Do you just skip?" The question had some venom behind it.

Just like when anyone asked this or something similar, I became flustered. I looked down and began refolding the napkin on my lap. "Oh, you know... just, it's nothing," I sputtered.

Neveah raised her dark eyebrows. "It's obviously not nothing. I want an answer, and I want it now."

I looked up, shocked at her forwardness. Would I tell her the truth? Would I tell her that it was because I hated fighting and I hated being a Shadowhunter? No, not to someone full of so much pride for Nephilim. "I just haven't been feeling very well," I lied.

"Then why have you still been all out and about with Aaron?"

Hearing his name, Aaron turned around in his chair to where Neveah was confronting me. He sawmy struggling and intervened. "Hey, Nev, lay off it," he said neutrally.

Neveah huffed. She was obviously displeased. "Rowan, you need to toughen up. Fight some. You have the Shadowhunter blood, but no one hardly consideres you," she said, curling her lip from disgust. "You're practically human." She spat the word 'human' like an insult in my face and sauntered away.

Aaron saw that I was close to tears and reached out to rub my arm gently. "Ro, don't let her get to you. Of course you're a Shadowhunter," he consoled me.

I heard what Aaron was saying, and even though he sounded genuine, I had a hard time believing them.

If I didn't fight, was I really a Shadowhunter?
